Biocides/silver is bad for the environment, why do you use them?

Thanks for asking: we know that this is a complicated area, and are happy to let you know the reasoning behind our decision.

When we produce our panties, we use a treatment called Agion Active XL. We do this to prevent the bacterial growth that leads to smell. The treatment is one of the best available today, and it has been approved by OEKO-TEX®. The biocides in the treatment are strictly regulated by EU law and classified as safe for humans. However, they can have a negative impact on the environment. That’s why we’re working actively with femcare experts, researchers and textile innovators to find an even better and more planet-friendly solution.

We’re well on our way and as soon as we have a better alternative, we’ll use it.
