What materials are our period panties made of?

Our period panties are made to replace disposable products and menstrual cups completely. And we want you to be able to wear them comfortably for a long time. That’s why we’ve put our panties through extensive testing to make sure they’re as comfortable as possible. Our period panties come in two different materials – the recycled polyamide blend and the organic cotton blend.
In the micro range, the shell fabric is made of 83% recycled polyamide and 17% elastane. The fabric has an OEKO-TEX Standard 100 certification. It includes both pantyliners with Mini absorbency and high waist panties with Super absorbency, and everything in between. To ensure comfortable all-day wear and a perfect fit, we use velvet soft edges in the waist.
In the organic cotton range, 79% of the shell fabric is made of organic cotton and 21% elastane. This fabric also has an OEKO-TEX Standard 100 certification. It ranges from Mini to Super absorbency, and also includes our Teen period panties range.
How can the material in period panties prevent leaks?
It’s all about the gusset and the fit. Our patented three-layer technology Engineered Leak Tech™ makes sure you’re kept dry and controls odour. It absorbs your menstruation blood, prevents leaks and wicks moisture. It might sound too good to be true, but it’s not. It’s science. Period.
Aside from absorption, the fit of the period panty also plays an equally important part in preventing leaks. We have tested all our period panties on different body types, sizes and flows to make sure the fit hugs your body and the gusset stays in place no matter what.
How do the three layers work?
The three layers in the Engineered Leak Tech™ work together with the fantastic fit to ensure you stay dry and comfy all day and night. The wicking layer transports the blood to the absorbent layer and makes sure the surface in contact with your body stays dry. The absorbent layer holds the blood securely and has an antimicrobial treatment that stops the panties from smelling. And the barrier layer prevents body fluids from leaking.
At the same time, the fit secures the position of the panties and makes sure the three layers can work their magic.
Are period panties hygienic?
Of course! Our period panties are an innovative period protection, gentle for both your vulva and your wallet. Unlike traditional menstrual protection, they are especially made to be used again and again. They can be used for as long as up to 50 washes when used and cared for properly.
